Custom Homes
Custom homes in Helena, built around how you live.
On your land, to your plans, by a builder who is on site.
Most of the homes we build start the same way: someone owns a piece of land outside Helena, or is about to, and has a rough idea of the house they want on it. Our job is to turn that idea into a home that fits the site, the budget and the way your family actually lives.

Built by a finish carpenter
Cameron studied construction engineering at Montana State University and spent years as a finish carpenter, including on high-end homes in Big Sky. That background shows up in the details you notice every day: straight walls, tight trim, and stairs and handrails built to last.
Several JCH homes have been featured in the Helena Parade of Homes.

How a custom build works
- Free consultation. We walk your land or review your plans and talk through budget and timing.
- Design or plan review. No plans yet? We design with you under a flat-fee agreement with unlimited revisions and 3D renderings. Already have plans? We review them for buildability and price them.
- Detailed estimate and contract. A line-item estimate you can compare against other bids.
- Permits and financing. We handle permitting and work directly with your construction lender.
- Build and walkthrough. Regular updates during the build, a final walkthrough, and a 1-year warranty.
